Creative Prayer Collaborative was birthed out of my own personal experience with prayer, and a longing to see others lives transformed in the same way. Growing up, I had a deep longing to encounter God, but I didn’t know how. Prayer always seemed dry, boring and lifeless to me, until one day everything changed.

It was my freshman year in college, and I stumbled upon a tiny prayer room in the back of the campus chapel. It was a simple space, with worship music playing on an old cd-player in the corner, and paper-covered walls filled with Bible verses, prayers, and drawings. As I stood there, reading the heartfelt prayers and verses on the walls, I felt something shift inside me. With tears in my eyes, I uttered one of my first genuine prayers, asking God to meet me the way He had met others.

And He did. In that small space, God shattered the barriers I had unknowingly built. Like Augustine, I soon couldn't get enough of His presence. This encounter began a journey of learning not just how to pray, but how to truly listen - a journey that continues today.

Creative Prayer Collaborative was born out of this experience. My hope is that through our prayer stations, boxes, guides, and resources, others can encounter the depth of God’s presence as I did. Prayer isn't meant to be boring; it's meant to be the most life-giving part of our lives.
