Creative tools that make prayer come alive
Many people believe that prayer is simply thinking or saying words, but the Bible is full of examples that engage our whole being - body, mind and soul. During the Old Testament Feasts, such as Passover, people asked questions, played hide and seek, sang songs, lit candles and ate food that reflected different elements of God’s faithfulness and the Exodus story. In the Feast of the Tabernacles, they built forts and prayed in them as a way to thank God for being their shelter and protecting them. David danced, Moses climbed mountains and Jesus lifted his eyes and prayed while in the beauty of nature.
